Over 200 Teenagers Respond To The Cry Of The Poor

I am relevant!” — These words resounded from the lips of over 200 teenagers, representing the youth of Christ Embassy Lagos Zone 2 as they delivered food items to the InnerCity Mission Food Bank for an Easter Special Teens’ Food Drive.

Speaking on behalf of all teens and youths in the Zone, Pastor Sharon Ajide, a Youth Ministry official reiterated that, “You can always count on the Youth Ministry of Lagos Zone 2 to make a difference in the lives of the indigent.” In appreciation, kids of the InnerCity Mission Home rendered a special ‘Thank You’ song.

Everyone in attendance had the opportunity to tour the InnerCity Mission School facility; though school is not in session, they saw, firsthand, the impact of their partnership. As the event came to a close, the Chairman of the Food Drive event and LMAM rapper, TruSouth, expressed his joy to see the team’s plans become a reality.

The InnerCity Mission commends the efforts of these super-teens and selfless young people, who have thought beyond themselves, about indigent children who often go hungry during the holidays. Thank You, Esteemed Pastor Vale Odu Thomas for being a great inspiration to these young people.

This Easter season, help preach the gospel of the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus. Join the InnerCity Mission to tell of His wondrous works to the needy and forgotten children and families in the inner cities by sponsoring a gift pack for a child or food boxes for families in inner cities.
