Today we drove North from El Paso to Radium Springs, NM. This Slot Canyon is located within the Organ Mountains Desert Peaks National Monument. This part of the Monument is located in the Robledo Mountains on the West side of Interstate 25. The rock color here isn't as vivid or well known as the famous slot canyons of Zion National park or Antelope Canyon, AZ but they are beautiful in their own way. Plus, they are only an easy hour drive from El Paso or twenty minutes North of Las Cruces, NM. Come along with us a we take an easy stroll through the canyon. But for those of you who do like to torture yourselves, I hope you enjoy this journey. It started as a Gretsch pickup fit idea, but having just done the Casino and given their relative similarity as guitars… well, it was begging for a comparison. So that’s how it ended up!
I start by comparing the Casino and the Gretsch before the Gretsch pickup swap, then labour through the pickup fit before comparing them again. There’s even a bit of ‘music’ so you can hear them in context towards the end.
