Pluses:
The staff, restaurants and amenities were outstanding. We're not much for gambling but the property and the set up, the visuals, were really nice. There was lots of shopping nearby so we had plenty to do during our stay. We especially loved the Tuscan Buffet and the Purple Parrot restaurants. However, everything we dined on at the resort was simply amazing and our room was awesome and the views of the Sierra Nevada mountains was so nice. I highly recommend!
The proximity of this hotel to Tahoe area makes this property idea for skiing trips. Atlantis is only about 30 mins away from Ski Mt. Rose and the hotel is children friendly, well serviced, and a value to boot. The buffet at Toucan Charlie, which was revamped a year or so ago, is now a must visit with their delicious assortment of foods that use better quality of ingredients than those buffets normally use.
Minuses:
They should consider providing microwave and small fridge for the rooms, my husband is diabetic and we needed somewhere to store his insulin and had to keep it on ice the entire stay. Also, it would have been nice to have somewhere to store our leftovers from our dining if we chose to save anything we weren't able to eat at the time...other than that, everything was perfect!
Unfortunately as a non-smoker the thing I did not like was the lack of good circulation.
