Melbourne’s Crown Casino has been fined $120 million due to a breach of its Responsible Service of Gambling obligations.
Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission Chair Fran Thorn said a $100 million fine was issued for failing to prevent customers from gambling for long periods of time.
“The second fine of $20 million relates to Crown’s failure to prevent patrons from using plastic picks and other devices to hold down pokie machine buttons,” Ms Thorn said during a media conference on Monday.
