A Goodwill Ambassador Organises Concert to Benefit the Poor

Every year, our Goodwill Ambassador, Elsie Olayemi, organises special charity musical concerts in commemoration of her birthday. Along with other music artistes and comedians, she lends her voice to advocate for the indigent.

This year, our inspiring young Partner, organised a concert in an IDP Camp in Benin, South South Nigeria. The concert tagged 'Joyful Concert' was indeed a glorious celebration with lots of music, dancing and laughter. During the concert, residents of the camp were given relief items such as food items and toiletries. The Camp officials expressed their gratitude for the timely support to the residents.

Despite a decline in the poverty index of Cape Verde, an island along the west coast of Africa, many are still vulnerable and in need of social and economic support in the country. Our Partners in the country have stepped in to assist in improving the lives of indigent children. They supported Orphanages with food aid.

Currently, we have deployed the InnerCity Mission Education, Orphanage Support, Faith & Development Programs . In addition, we have set up Child Learning Centers where indigent children are mentored and assisted in their academics. It has been a fulfilling and beautiful experience to see lives in Cape Verde transformed through our programs.

Did you know that the InnerCity Mission has Impact Hubs across inner-city communities where children are engaged and kept safe from abuse? Our Impact Hubs are safe spaces where children in the inner-city communities are engaged creatively in art exhibitions and counselling sessions under the Child Safety and Advocacy Program .

In many parts of the world schools are going on break for the academic year. Children in poor communities who don't have the opportunity to be engaged are more vulnerable to abuse during the holiday. Join us to set up or sponsor an Impact Hub. You can also volunteer at our different Hubs in the communities to help keep indigent children safe from abuse.
