Dear Partner,
We reach indigent children on the streets, in schools,
orphanages, IDP camps, communities and other child
centered institutions. More often than not, these
children are connected to a family. Strengthening a
family has been one of our approaches in breaking the
cycle of poverty. Read below an inspiring story of a
family you empowered through your partnership with us.
Family Strengthening & Livelihood; Breaking the
Cycle of Poverty

Mrs Gloria Edeh couldn't hold back her tears as she
described how frustrating life had been for her before
she came in contact with the InnerCity Mission. Her
husband had lost his job and they were evicted from
their accommodation as a direct result. Poverty stared
them in the eye as they had nothing to survive on.
She was enrolled into the Family Strengthening &
Livelihood Program, where she received food assistance
and learnt how to start up a small scale buisness.
Soon enough, she saved enough money to start up an
Eatery. She got her family a decent house to live in
from the profit of her buisness.
Now, she can adequately cater for her children,
keeping them out of poverty and its resultant effects.

reached out to families in Zango Brigade and Sabon
Gari communities in North-West Nigeria with the Family
Strengthening & Livelihood Program. The women
received their 1st Food Aid package last week; this
provides food security for their family and helps them
focus on gaining and developing ideas for a startup to

Emergency Food Response in Hong Kong

Many are yet to recover from the harsh socio-economic
impact of the Corona Virus lockdown. We have reached
thousands of families with our Emergency Food Response
during and after the lockdown. Last week, our partners
in Hong Kong reached an Homeless Shelter in Mong Kok
in the city of Kowloon, with boxes of food supplies to
support the home. The home manager was very grateful
to receive support at this time.
