Welcome to May; the month of Illumination. Thank you for standing strong with us in the month of April as we executed our programs and initiatives all around the world.

723 Families Begin A New Chapter

April 27, 2021 will remain a memorable date in the hearts of 723 families who began a special chapter of their lives as they were inducted into the InnerCity Mission Family Strengthening and Livelihood Program class of 2021!

This program is designed to empower families to become financially independent in order to cater for and protect their children from poverty and its effect. These beneficiaries receive regular skills acquisition training and food assistance for a period of one year. At the end of the Program, they receive small scale grants to help them start up small to medium scale businesses.

Food Distribution in Rwanda

542 families in Kinyinya, Kicukiro, Ruliba, Kinanba, Kacyiru, Kabuga, Gikondo, Kimoronko, Gashyata, Kajekye, Remera, Nyanza and Busanza communities in Rwanda received food donations to alleviate the harsh realities of food shortage in certain regions of the country. Recipients expressed deep gratitude for the timely intervention of Partners of the InnerCity Mission.

Over the years, the feeding program of the InnerCity Mission has transformed lives and communities around the world with food assistance, emergency food response, free school meals, soup kitchens and food pantries. Click here to see pictures.

Did you know that the Child Safety & Protection Program of the InnerCity Mission since inception has impacted millions of children all around the world through it's Child Protection and Safety awareness sessions conducted in many rural community schools; equipping children with prevention strategy to keep them safe from harm and abuse. We also have Impact Hubs in communities reached where children freely and creatively express their opinions in Arts and Voice Competition. We have witnessed real life transformations in our Impact hubs.

A radio program called "Voice of the Indigent" was recently launched to raise awareness of the plight of indigent children and educate the public on helping children remain safe in everyday situations. You can join every Friday on this radio channel at 12:30PM GMT+1.

Mpho Keromang from Botswana testified of how her work with the InnerCity Mission and labour of love saved her son from severe boiling water burn. This incident happened while Mpho was preparing for a Back to School kit distribution in Zoroga Primary School. Read more
