En el puesto numero 7 tenemos a Charles De Ville Wells un ingeniero, inventor, estafador y tramposo que, además de timar a media europa con su amplio historial de esquemas fraudulentos, inversiones dudosas y promesas falsas, también quebró el famosos casino de Montecarlos.
En el puesto 6 de nuestra lista tenemos a Monique Laurent, una mujer francesa de mirada fría y mente calculadora, que usó un microdispositivo escondido en su bolso para controlar el movimiento de la ruleta con un clic invisible.
Monique nació en Deauville, Francia, el 14 de febrero de 1948 pero de esos primeros años no se conoce mucho. Aunque algo que sí se sabe es que Monique tenía un hermano, quien en 1973 consigue un trabajo como crupier en el Casino de la ciudad en 1973.
El número cinco en nuestra lista es el hombre que lo inició todo, un ingeniero llamado Joseph Jagger. Fue el primero. El pionero en utilizar una técnica que ha vuelto a muchos jugadores ricos. Cuando en 1969 le preguntaron en una entrevista a Signor Lardera, dueño del casino de San Remo, sobre Jarecki este respondió:
El número uno en nuestra lista es un personaje peculiar. Era productor musical y director de cine. Pero cuando descubrió que la ruleta no era tan perfecta como creía el mundo… lo apostó todo. Gonzalo García-Pelayo desafió a los casinos con estadísticas, lógica y una fe ciega en los números. Jugó con todas las reglas en contra, y ganó.
