Discovering Copenhagen in 3 Days, May 2025

We booked Crown Plaza hotel in Ărestad on M1 metro line about 25 minutes to main Copenhagen attractions. From there each day we toured different areas of Copenhagen to cover the most attractions possible without rushing, just enjoying the tour at our own pace.
Day 1
1. Frederikâs Church (The Marble Church), one of most impressive churches in Copenhagen, only minutes walk from Amalienborg Palace.
2. Amalienborg Palace, famous for its changing of guards and the museum.
3. Kastellet Citadel, founded by king Christian IV in 1626, today used as military barracks.
4. Little Mermaid, the most iconic tourist attraction in Copenhagen.
5. Nyhavn, so colorful and a must visit site, we were there all three days having either late afternoon drinks or dinner.
Day 2
1. Christiansborg Palace Church, setting of Royal weddings.
2. Christiansborg Palace, place of Danish Parliament, the Supreme Court, and the Ministry of State.
3. Rundetaarn, The Round Tower, We skipped this attraction since it is not covered by the Copenhagen Discover card, it offers 360 degree view of the city and as astronomy observatory.
4. National Gallery of Denmark, not on our list but had to wait 2 hours for Rosenborg Castle and it's only few minutes walk.
5. Rosenborg Castle, built by Christian IV, it houses Danish crown jewels and treasures.
5.Torvehallerne, food lovers paradise!
6 .Stromma canal boat ride, a nice way to view Copenhagen from the water.
Day 3
1. The Church of Our Savior, view the city from 250 ft but first you must take 150 spiraling steps to get up there.
2. National Museum of Denmark, experience Denmarkâs history from Pre-History, through the Middle Ages, The Renaissance, and the modern Denmark and many other relics from around the world.
3. Tivoli Gardens, an amusement park and garden and has great selection of foods in the food hall.
4. City Hall, headquarters of the Copenhagen City Council and Jens Olsenâs World Clock.
