La primera estrategia de seducción, la que rompe suspicacias, abunda en el lenguaje. El mundo de las apuestas se sirve de una jerga matemática. Fracciones, decimales, estadísticas. Se maquilla el azar con una pátina de conocimiento. Luego, una vez en el meollo, se establecen categorías de jugadores:
Te condecoran, te hacen VIP. Se estimula al jugador a sentirse más listo que la banca. “Esa es la fantasía. Una falsa sensación de control que perpetúa el problema”, apunta Bayta Díaz.
La ludopatía crece más que nunca, y más rápido, porque el tejido que rodea al sector es perfecto. Se ha conseguido cambiar el look del juego y seducir a los jóvenes. Antes, casinos, ruletas, tragaperras o cartas se atribuían a personas mayores, casposas, problemáticas, aisladas. Ahora, el negocio del azar se ha hecho un lifting. Las redes sociales ayudan creando comunidad: “Conductas como esta antes estaban repudiadas o marcadas o no reforzadas, no había tanta posibilidad de que se extendieran; pero ahora con las redes sociales y los foros se crean grupos discretos donde se apoyan unos a otros y crean sus dinámicas, jerarquías y normas. Las personas ganan estatus contando trucos y, además, se generan vínculos emocionales. El mayor problema es cuando tu única fuente de autoestima está ahí”, analiza Irene Montiel.
