In this video, I walk you through how I got my PCI Voodoo 3 to take over as the primary video card in my Ryzen 9 3900X PC build! The twist? This setup also includes an RTX card for Windows 10 - and the motherboard (BIOSTAR X470 GTA) will pick this GPU as primary by default. On a older motherboards you can simply set your PCI card as primary, and that's it. But there is no way to set my PCI Voodoo 3 as primary video card on my motherboard with default AMI BIOS settings.
I could use a PCI-E to PCI adapter to put the card in the first PCI-E 16X slot but this not the way I want to use my PCI Voodoo 3 3000 since I researched for a motherboard with classic PCI slots. Watch to see how I made this tricky configuration work. We'll dive into some technical details, including BIOS settings, integrated graphics, and the moment when my guess paid off.
