Despite the notable developments made in past decades, according to research, 736 million people still live in extreme poverty. Most disturbingly, children are excessively affected: while they make up around a third of the global population, they comprise half of those fighting to live on less than $2 a day. Not only are children more likely to live in poverty, but they also face lifetime consequences like poor health & nutrition, and missed or low-quality education.
The InnerCity Mission as a child-centered organization has always come up with various initiatives to eradicate child poverty over the years and this October, we bring you the #EndChildPovertyNow campaign, an initiative that will be running throughout the month in commemoration of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.
The #EndChildPovertyNow Campaign allows everyone to choose any act of kindness to carry out that would make a difference in the lives of the indigent and turn, inspire more people to take action in building a better world for all.
Below are different types of Acts you can choose from; however, the list is endless;
· Donate seedlings to a farmer
· Donate Notebooks to a child
· Set up a library for needy children
· Renovate a school building
· Give out textbooks to needy children
· Feed A needy child
· Support a Needy family with food
Our goal is to show the world that ending poverty is possible and we won’t stop until every child, man and woman can enjoy a life free from poverty which in turn, sums up our mission at the InnerCity Mission. Take Action NOW! https://theinnercitymission.ngo/endchildpovertynow/
