Battle of Wits at Maiden Science Competition

The InnerCity Mission School’s Maiden Science Competition took place at the InnerCity School Grounds, Ikeja Center, Lagos, with students from 7 other schools joining the host school.

The youngsters were given two challenges to complete: the first, a General Science quiz in 3 rounds, and the second, an experiment on Practical Science. The InnerCity Mission School emerged winner of the first challenge, beating out first and second runners-up, Ebunoluwa School and Norwood Private School, respectively.

Gristeam School won the Practical Science competition with a water purification experiment, followed by the InnerCity Mission School, with an experiment on the expansion of air.

All participants were specially recognized, the expression on their faces signaling a determination of future scientists.

We say a big “Thank you” to all our Partners for providing a platform for children at the InnerCity Mission. Now, the children see limitless possibilities and can dream of a great future— one that is void of poverty — where they can be whatever they want to be and contribute meaningfully to the society.
