NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES!

World Humanitarian Day (WHD) is held annually on the 19th of August to recognize aid workers who have sacrificed their time, resources, and safety to help people affected by global crises.

The work of our volunteers through the Humanitarian Volunteer Network can never be over-emphasized as they pool and utilize skills in humanitarian aid, social work, public service, and other fields to achieve the goal of the InnerCity Mission to reach indigent children and families globally.

With the support of our partners, our volunteers and staff brave the difficult and risky terrains to carry out intervention projects like setting up learning centers, providing health care services, and distributing food parcels to the vulnerable in communities where the need is greatest. Also, some of the work they do includes specific assignments or activities using their skills, talents, and professional expertise to cater to the needs of the indigent in their sphere of contact. They are always on the frontline, acting as multipliers of hope and goodwill to people in places ravaged by war, natural disasters, and poverty to mention but a few.

To commemorate this day, we pause to pay a tribute to our “Real Life Heroes” who through their partnership and commitment to our vision, have helped us to provide humanitarian assistance to the needy around the world. Thank you for all you do, we love and appreciate You!
