In recent times world hunger has been on the rise in different parts of the world compared to later years. Due to different factors like poverty, drought, floods, food scarcity, etc. many people have been left on the verge of death and hunger-related diseases because of the lack of food.
In most cases, the world’s most vulnerable are the ones likely to be impacted by these factors.
The InnerCity Mission through her Feeding Program, is helping the indigent with food support. In the month of March, we launched the Hunger Action Month Campaign which is an all-year-round initiative. Since its launch, the campaign took off with a resounding impact globally. Our institutional partners and volunteers in Nigeria, Botswana, Zimbabwe, India, United Kingdom, to mention but a few have been actively involved in making sure that indigent children and families are well fed.
Through global food distributions, set of soup kitchens in the most vulnerable communities, and sponsoring of food parcels, over 300 million meals have been distributed and counting. Compared to last year, we have gone over and beyond our quarterly goal of feeding the indigent and this could never have happened without the unwavering support of our institutional partners and volunteers globally.
Guess what! A Zero-Hunger world is achievable when everyone is involved. Fighting hunger means more than just providing a meal. It’s about showing up in communities to support them in a way that makes a difference. And this is why we call on everyone to join us to distribute more meals and in turn, take a stand against world hunger. The world needs your response now, TAKE ACTION TODAY! Click here.
